Our Story

The founder Rachita stepped away from a corporate career Last January 2025, a senior role at a global company, and everything that was meant to define success. Yet somewhere between meetings, targets, and routines, she had begun to lose sight of herself.

She came to realise that change, not stagnation, is the true rhythm of nature.

So she allowed herself a pause and with it, the courage to take a risk. To finally build something she had carried quietly within her for years.

Rachita’s grandmother was a professor of textiles, and she grew up surrounded by fabrics and embroidery long before she understood their true worth. Not the ordinary kind, but the kind that reveals itself slowly. The kind you have to pause for. The kind you return to.

When she left her job, Tropical Forest was not a business plan. It was a return to craft, to stillness, to herself.

Today, Tropical Forest creates premium Chikankari for the home and the wardrobe — pieces designed to invite you to slow down, look closer, and value what endures.
